
James Cooper
James Cooper has been a commissioner on the Los Angeles County Superior Court since 2020. Previously, he had been a criminal defense attorney for 33 years and had tried at least 125 jury trials to a verdict, including at least 30 murder cases. Mr. Cooper has co-authored a chapter in the CEB Publication, California Criminal Law: Procedure and Practice since 1999. He earned his law degree from UCLA in 1986.
